The dance moves several muscles including those of the cheeks :) and the memory. It is a social activity and allows you to meet many people who share the same passion.

Fun fact
One study found that almost none of the physical activities appeared to offer any protection against dementia. There can be cardiovascular benefits of course, but the focus of that study was the mind.
There was one important exception: the only physical activity to offer protection against dementia was frequent dancing.

Social dances and Ballroom dance are fun nights for couples and friends. These evenings are usually filled with dancers doing social dancing including the Ballroom dancing. These dances are usually in pairs, but sometimes there are line dances, Latin dances and other dances to have fun.
The Social Dance and Ballroom Dance section will mainly include these kinds of classes, parties and other similar events. It is possible that all types of activities (in social, Latin, line dances and classes) are found in the same activity.
